Hi, I’m Jennifer — the designer behind Crojennifer

My love for yarn and crochet started when I was young. I was fascinated by all those beautiful colors, the endless possibilities of yarn and, most of all, the idea that you could create something completely unique with just a hook and your own two hands.

That fascination never really went away.

After completing my teacher training in Health & Physical Education at the University of Texas at El Paso, my creative side gradually took me in a very different direction. I began developing my own crochet designs and writing the patterns for them.

What started as a passion soon became much more. My designs were published in leading craft and crochet magazines, and through my online shops, Ravelry, social media and my own website, my patterns began finding their way to crocheters all over the world.

And that still makes me incredibly happy.

Crochet Fashion You’ll Actually Want to Wear

My greatest passion is designing crochet garments that are a little different from what you might expect.

I love creating cardigans, sweaters, tops and special pieces that combine interesting stitches and textures with a relaxed, wearable style. Sometimes playful, sometimes elegant, sometimes a little unusual — but always designed with one important thought in mind:

Would I actually want to wear this?

For me, crochet is about much more than simply following a pattern. It’s about choosing your colors, feeling the yarn in your hands and watching something beautiful slowly take shape.

And at the end of it all, there’s that wonderful moment when you can say:

I made this myself.

Patterns Made to Be Enjoyed

I believe a beautiful design deserves a pattern that is enjoyable to follow.

That’s why I put a lot of care into making my patterns clear and easy to understand, with step-by-step instructions and plenty of helpful photos along the way.

Many of my designs may look intricate at first glance, but I love finding ways to make unusual stitches and techniques accessible to crocheters with different levels of experience.

And if a particular technique is easier to understand when you can actually see it being crocheted, you’ll also find video tutorials on my Crochet Done Right YouTube channel.

My goal is simple: I want you to enjoy making the project just as much as I enjoyed designing it.

Something for Every Crochet Mood

Over the years, my collection has grown into a large wardrobe of crochet designs.

You’ll find cozy cardigans, comfortable sweaters, tops for warmer days and, of course, The Specials — designs and sets that are just a little bit different.

I love experimenting with texture, construction, color combinations and unexpected details. I’m always thinking about the next design, the next stitch or that little twist that can turn a simple garment into something special.

That curiosity is probably why I’m still just as excited about designing today as I was when I started.

Behind Crojennifer there isn’t a large customer-service department.

If you purchase one of my patterns and have a question or get stuck somewhere along the way, you can contact me personally. I know how frustrating it can be when you’re happily crocheting and suddenly think, “Wait… what am I supposed to do here?”
